A Case For Strangers
Our deteriorating relationship with strangers and how it hurts us
There is a group in this country that has gotten nearly exclusively bad press for decades, suffered brutal takedown campaigns, and is hated more and more as time goes on. And the most interesting thing about it is that you’re praised for disliking them. I’m talking about strangers. Even the word stranger feels derogatory. “Look at this guy I don’t know personally...that’s strange.” In this article, I’m going to talk about our rapidly-shrinking social circles, and how negative opinions of strangers have real-world negative consequences for all of us.
